PRESS HALL Communication Group has become an information partner of XII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that is to be held in the northern capital of Russia on June 6-8, 2008. The SPIEF is held on annual basis and with support and participation of the President of the Russian Federation. For 12 years of its work the Forum has become one of the most authoritative discussion sites in the world. Dozens of heads of state and government and hundreds of top businessmen take part in the Forum every year.
During the Forum Communication Group PRESS HALL is going to hold a number of events for its clients.
On April 9, 2008 RIA Novosti press-centre hosted press-conference on preparatory work for holding XII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Elvira Nabiullina, Secretary of State for Economic Development & Trade of the Russian Federation (the Organizational Committee Chairwoman), Valentina Matvienko, The St Petersburg Governor (Deputy of the Chairman of the Organizational Committee) and Sergey Vyazalov, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Russian Federation President on Foreign Policy (Deputy of the Chairman of the Organizational Committee, Director of the Organizational Committee Secretariat) took part in the press-conference.
At the press-conference Elvira Nabiullina noted that this year, same as in previous years, during two major days of the SPIEF – Russian and International – 2 plenary sessions, 10 conferences and 13 round-table discussions were to be held. The topic issue of the Forum will be national economic interests and global institutes of management. At the same time the Forum will become not only a debate-platform, it’ll be the place where new approaches to international politics and methods of business management will be formed.
Valentina Matvienko, The St Petersburg Governor, said that preparations to XII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum were made as had been planned. “During recent years the Northern capital has acquired huge experience in holding such significant events at the highest international level that allows the authorities to work according to the schedule without any disturbance to the native citizens of St. Petersburg” – mentioned the Governor. In conclusion Valentina Matvienko expressed the hope that as a result of the XII SPIEF its organizers would not receive a single reprimand either from participants or from citizens.
